Hi there, I’m Maretha.

If you, like me, have faced a few challenges in life, you might have realised that facing them alone is much harder than having someone by your side.

Whether your challenge entails a sickness, your everyday responsibilities, a difficult child or accepting yourself, they are all worth the fight. For me, I face my challenges with Jesus. I am here to step beside you and help you see Jesus in everything you face, in everything you do and wherever you are.

What does it mean to involve Jesus in every little detail of your life and is it necessary?

Allowing Jesus into every detail of your life is about giving Him the pen to write each chapter, whether or not you follow the entire story at every given moment. It is about including Him in every decision you take, asking His help when in need, see Him in every situation, surrender every challenge and just be with Him in every scarce space you manage to make in your day.

I write to help you create space for Jesus in your everyday life so that you can walk in the unforced rhythms of grace Jesus destined for you to have as he writes His beautiful story through you.

The words you will discover on my blog will help you to:

The more you trust Jesus and keep your eyes focused on Him, the more life you’ll have. Trusting God brings life. Believing brings rest. So stop trying to figure everything out, and let God be God in your life.”

A little About Me

Daniël and I were married in 2012 and it has been a privilege to watch God moving him from one season to the next and in each one impacting the lives of the ones ordained by God.

We have been blessed with three beautiful and lively little ones that teach us about the love of God and the fact that His grace is enough for us. We also have one little angel that has been called home by God in a much too soon way for us but in a perfectly destined manner by Abba Father.

Writing has been a passion for as long as I can remember and it has always been a way of talking to Jesus and getting me through various storms in life. I have realized that sharing my words also helps other making a smoother transition through the storms they may be facing in life. Now, I’ve been writing on the internet for over 5 years.

This is the place where all my books begin and so far I’ve written three: Seasons with Christ (2014), Your undiscovered family (2016) and my most recent release which was also my debut into the world of Christian fiction: Revealed (2017).

My passion/favourites

My husband Daniël:
We’ve been married for 6 years now and he continues to show me the real time example of living a fully devoted life to Jesus.

Our three kids:
We have two girls 16 months apart and a boy following 19 months later. Our girls are 4 and two and a half and our boy is just over one year old.

Books:
One of my favourite past times which will one day show up on my doorstep again once these little ones can find a comfortable seat apart from their parents’ laps.

Writing:
it has always been a part of me. Writing helps me deal with the issues and challenges of life. It helps me to see myself through my own eyes and I have discovered parts of me I did not know exist. It’s is an important way in which I worship God.
