“Christ has freed us so that we may enjoy the benefits of freedom. Therefore, be firm (in this freedom), and don’t become slaves again” (Galatians 5:1 GW)

Is there something that is holding you back? Maybe you have negative thoughts about yourself and do not believe that you can be great. Maybe someone has spoken defeating words over you and you chose to believe it and now you see the evidence thereof in your life. Maybe you are allowing people and their opinions to have control over you and your entire life has become ruled by them. Maybe you have allowed your career or a relationship to bind you to a point of suffocation.

My question to you is, “Do you want to break free and see God’s full potential flow through your life?”

It is a question that only you can answer. People, opinions and defeating thoughts cannot have any power over us, unless we give them power. Someone can say something negative over your life, but you can choose not to make it your own and instead, declare God’s truth over yourself and those negative words that were spoken over you will have no effect. You can think negatively, but if you do not act on it and choose to replace those thoughts with thoughts of life, you will bear the fruits thereof.

There are many things that can bind us, but we have a choice whether we want to break free. Jesus did not gave up His life so that we live in bondage. He came to set us free from any fear or bondage that may come knocking on the door of our lives. The power rests in our hands whether we are going to open such doors and entertain the fears or bondage or whether we are going to keep the doors closed.

“This Lord is the Spirit. Wherever the Lord’s Spirit is, there is freedom.” (2 Corinthians 3:17 GW)

There is one Name that can break every chain there is in your life… JESUS!

“So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.” (John 8:36 NLT)

When the Name of Jesus is spoken over you or any negative or defeating situation you might be facing, the chains are broken and life will spring forth from His Name. There is power in the Name of Jesus. He defeated every fear, sickness, or dying situation at the cross so that none of that could have power over us but that we can reign in His Name.

It does not mean that you will not go through trials, because you will—fear, sickness and negative opinions will still come and knock on your door, but if you choose Jesus and follow the wisdom and guidance He gives you, such situations will not reign over you. You choose what you entertain and who you follow.

You do not have to struggle to be set free. Allow Jesus to set you free by His grace. Speak His Name that is above every other Name over your life, your body, your family, your relationships, your career, your fears; follow His wisdom and let Him break you free from every possible chain that could be holding you back from reaching your full potential in Christ!
