You’ve kept track of my every toss and turn through the sleepless nights, Each tear entered in your ledger, each ache written in your book. (Psalm 56:8 MSG)

Another translation says:

You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book. (Psalm 56:8 NLT)

Have you shed tears no one noticed? Have you been harbouring a pain or struggle you do not have the courage to share about? All of which made you feel alone and vulnerable.

If that is you, that is okay, but I would like to share an image with you that will hopefully encourage you to be vulnerable, once more.

An image that God is with you in whichever position you are in – standing, kneeling, sitting, lying down or just holding you close as you shed those tears and dealing with your struggles. He is right there next to you. He not only notices every one of your tears, but He catches and records them for His own doing – to set things right for you again in His time.

He needs you to know that you are not alone. Your vulnerability does not go unnoticed, but He wants you to know that He sees you, He is aware of every tear you shed and struggle you encounter and He does not want you to go through it alone. You are invited to approach Him in your brokenness and just be vulnerable before Him as He is the One who can truly comfort and help you. You are not meant to deal with your sorrows and struggle by yourself. He is with you. He wants to endure everything with you.

The next time you are shedding those tears or facing your struggles, will you allow yourself to see Him there with you, holding you and catching every drop of your emotions and at the same time encouraging you that His promise for a good life will come to pass.

God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more, neither shall there be anguish (sorrow and mourning) nor grief nor pain anymore, for the old conditions and the former order of things have passed away. (Revelation 21:4 AMPC)

The Bible promises us a world where no tears will be shed and God will remove all our tears, but for us as His children it does not mean it will only come in the future as God is already busy working at creating those lives for us while we are on earth. He began His work when Jesus sacrificed His life on the Cross and overcame the enemy and all his forces. The effects we experiences today are mere attempts by the enemy to move our focus away from what we already have in Jesus and onto the lies of the enemy.

Remember, today or in any other moment when the need arises, that God is with you. He notices you and catches all your tears. He is aware of everything you go through and promises to turn things around in your favor. Just hold onto Him.
