We all look for a reason behind everything that happens in life, but the biggest question we could ask ourselves is “Why am I here?”. You might wonder why you are here on earth, at this specific point in time in the specific place you find yourself.
The answer, “Jesus”.
He created us for His specific purpose right now. Even though our view might look blurry at times, Jesus knows what He is busy with when it comes to our lives and He is the only One that will bring us clarity.
There have been days in my life that I looked for a reason to get up in the morning and for as long as I was looking for reasons within myself or in this world, I found very few that made sense. When I turned my focus to Jesus and looked for my reason within Him, I have never stopped having a reason to get up and face each day.
Jesus is the reason we can have life through His sacrifice for our sins on the cross. We are made right with God by His amazing grace (2 Corinthians 5:21).
Jesus is the reason we wake up every morning through His life-giving breath that He breathes through our lives.
Jesus is the reason we can have hope as no darkness can dim His light within us. The darker our lives appear, the brighter His light can shine. Therefore, we can always have hope within Him.
Jesus is the reason we can see the possible in the impossible. He made everything, visible and invisible, He is the Creator of it all. When we cannot see the possible, we can turn our situation to Him and He can open our eyes to see the impossible (Luke 1:37).
Jesus is the reason we can get up again when we fall. He gives us new strength every day. When we make mistakes, His grace abounds in our lives and He empowers us to get us and make right what we have done wrong (Romans 5:20). He gives us strength for everything He requires from us (Philippians 4:13).
Jesus is the reason we never have to feel lonely. As His children, He is within us every day and there is no place we can go where He has not been and enter with us. He can find us in the darkest places and bring us out into the light of His purpose for us. Even when we feel far from Him, He is still with us. He never moves away, we do (Hebrews 13:5-6).
Jesus is the reason we can have joy in spite of the storms we face in life as He turns everything for our good (Romans 8:28). His plans are good for our lives, so even when we take wrong turns and make mistakes, they are not too big that He cannot turn it around into our favor. He always has the last say, and it is good.
Jesus is the reason we have success in life because He is with us (Genesis 39:2).With His presence in our lives we accomplish more in one day than what we would accomplish in years through our own efforts.
You never need to wonder again why you are here. You are here because of Jesus. He has a good plan for you in this moment in time. The choice remain yours to let Him be your reason, but I encourage you to take a chance on Him and let Him be your reason for every day and in everything you do. You will never regret it!
