My dearest daughter
Today, I want to make use of the opportunity to share something with you. Something I wish I did much earlier in my life.
Take…take as much as you can…everything…from Jesus!
He will give you as much as you are prepared to take from Him, but my question to you is, “How much are you prepared to take?”
Do not make the same mistake as me and try and do too much by yourself and depend too much on people to find your joy or purpose in life. You will fall short and you will always be disappointed. There is only one Source for everything you need and it is okay if you have little or nothing to give in return. The lesser you have to give, the more you can take!
First of all, when you are scared, call out to Jesus first. Mommy and daddy will always be here for you, but no Name is more powerful than “Jesus” and no-one can help you the way He can (Philippians 2:9). You will be afraid at times, but you do not have to stay that way, call to Jesus and tell Him about your fear and I promise you He will give you peace (John 14:27).
I cannot wait to hear about all the breakthroughs you are going to have with Jesus and I want to hear all about them.
Secondly, do not be sad when you feel lonely because you are never alone (Hebrews 13:5). Jesus is there with you. Even though you might not always be aware of Him, He is there. You just need to look for Him and you will find Him. His is in you and you might even recognise Him in someone’s words, a smile, an act of kindness or a hug. Just look as He is there with you.
Let me know about all the ways in which You saw Him.
Thirdly, do not be discouraged when your friends hurt you or turn their backs on you. You always have a friend in Jesus (John 15:15). He cannot betray you, He cannot hurt you. He may be silent at times when you want to hear from Him or He might do things different from what you would do them, but everything He does, He does for your good (Romans 8:28). He wants to be part of every conversation you have and be your companion wherever you go, just take Him with you. He will never disappoint you, just surprise you.
Do not make the same mistake as mommy and just read these words and know about this, but make it a reality every day of your life. You will have the joy you are looking for.
Fourthly, remember that you are loved. Mommy and daddy loves you, but our love is limited and we also make mistakes at the best of times. The love that Jesus has for you is more than what you will ever comprehend (Romans 5:8). Just take it! Let it absorb your being and ask Him to show you His love daily. Let it become tangible for you in every way. You will be destined to make the best decisions as you will know you are loved and accepted beyond measure.
Finally and most of all, get to know Jesus more and more every day. Before you step out of bed, open your Bible (Matthew 4:4) and let Him show you who you are in Him, let Him guide you in His will and let Him transform you into His image (2 Corinthians 3:18) so that you can take His glory into the world every day!
Take my daughter, take! When you need someone to talk to, talk to Him. He is always there and has the best advice to give.
Let your walk with Him be real and let Him overflow in your life! When you want to share His goodness, mommy and daddy are all ears to hear all about it!
Be brave and take from Jesus, especially when you have nothing to give in return!
