Have you ever asked yourself this question: I am not perfect, now what?

I have and this is what I found. It was a place filled with potential beyond my wildest imagination.

 As I stared my humanness in the face I realized that in and of myself I am not perfect, but if I look at myself in Christ, there is much more to discover about myself.

And it goes like this:

Yes, it may be true that I am not perfect, but now:

• I have come to the end of myself so that God can begin to work through me.
• I know I cannot rely on my own strength and wits as there are limits to it but the lesser there is of me in any situation, the more there can be seen of God.
• God can use me for His purpose.
• I am finally ready to give the driver seat of my life over to God.
• I know that who I am right now in this moment is enough for God.
• I know that what I see before me is what I can see in the flesh but if I can open my eyes to what God has for me and who I am in Jesus, I will no longer be caught up in all the imperfection in myself but I will see all the perfections of Christ in me.

God needs me to come to the end of myself so that I can step into the beginning of Him in me. God wants to use me as I am so that He can awaken me to who I am in Him.

In Him I am:

• Righteous and blameless in His sight (2 Corinthians 5:21)
• Loved and accepted in Jesus (John 3:16).
• I have a divine calling and every day I am stepping into God’s purpose for my life (Jeremiah 29:11).
• I have access to God’s royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9).
• I am blessed and anointed (Ephesians 1:3).
• I am protected as I dwell in the shadow of God (Psalm 91).
• I am provided for in everything I need and in everything I do (Philippians 4:19).
• I am forgiven (Ephesians 1:7) .
• I am successful because God is with me (Genesis 39:2).
• I am the sweet aroma of Christ before God (2 Corinthians 2:15).

I am and have a treasure chest filled with God’s attributes, many of which I often feel I fail in, but gratefully know that my walk with God and His ability to write His story through my life is not depending on my goodness and efforts, but on His grace and Word over my life. As I avail myself to Him, He will never fail to serve His love and purpose through my life.

I humble myself realizing that my God, the Creator of the universe count me worthy to spend His time, efforts and thoughts on. Because He counts me worthy, I am worthy.

Our own efforts may frustrate us at the best of time, but as we surrender ourselves, accept our limitations in the flesh and embrace our greatness in Christ, we give God the pen to write His story through us—a story where I am not perfect in myself, but in Christ I am perfect, worthy and blessed!
