Let’s stop for a moment. Is that the best we can do?

There is another, better, God-ordained way where we can have certainty even in the most uncertain times, where we can have peace when turmoil breaks out all around us, where we can stand in who we are and what we have even if all our circumstances speak otherwise!

Faith.

God responds to faith. God sees our needs, desires and problems, but that alone does not move Him. Faith does. When we speak, pray and stand in faith, He moves. When we ask in faith, He gives. When we speak His promises in faith, He provides.

We live in the days of the New Covenant of grace. What we have and get is not because of everything we have done right, but because of Jesus’ perfect work on the cross. Embedded in this Covenant are all of God’s promises which we can find in His Word…Salvation. Grace. Righteousness. Provision. Protection. Purpose. And the list goes on.

How do you access these promises? Can you sit back and God will just let them fall on your lap? No.

You can access each of God’s promises in Christ through faith.

Salvation. We did not see Jesus die for us, but through faith we believe it. Through faith we receive our gift of eternity.

Grace. No amount of works can give us access to God’s grace but through faith, we believe we have it.

Righteousness. We do not always act or feel righteous, but through faith we know and believe we are righteous in Christ.

Provision. Even when our finances do not show it, through faith we believe God provides, and when has He ever failed when we believe?

Protection. Dangers lurk all around us but through faith we believe they will never harm us, because God and His angels are watching over us.

Promises. Every promise in God’s Word is ours not through works, but through faith in Christ. It cannot be earned but received through faith.

Seek God and all He has for you through faith. Pray and ask Him to open your heart to His calling for your life and let Him help you see everything you can access through your faith. Trust Him to show you the depth of His riches and the hope you have in Christ through faith.

Look up Scriptures including “through faith” and you will see everything you have in Christ. I have listed a few scriptures below to help you jump-start your journey of faith. This is what you have in Christ, believe it.  You never know when you will need a glimmer of hope. Let God’s Word be your hope, whenever you need it.

• Ephesians 3:12: “in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him.”

• Galatians 3:26: “For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.”
• Romans 3:30: “since there is one God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith.”

• Romans 4:2-3: “For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.””

• Ephesians 2:8: “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,”

• Ephesians 3:17: “that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,”

• Romans 3:22: “even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference;”

• Colossians 2:12: “buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead.”

• II Timothy 3:15: “and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.”

• Galatians 3:14: “that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”

• Hebrews 6:12: “that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.”

• Acts 3:16: “And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.”

• Philippians 3:9: “and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;”

• Romans 3:25: “whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed,”
