Have you had dark moments where it just feels like there is really little hope left? Maybe in the form of fear when reading the news headlines or troubling thoughts capturing your minds and emotions because of a battle you are facing.

The world may be feeding hopelessness but God says we should raise our hope because God is a God of hope!

“Return to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will restore double to you.” (Zechariah 9:12)

Whatever situation you are facing, see yourself with the answer. If you are wondering what that answer is, it is simple. You have hope. Our hope does not lie in our own understanding and abilities, but in the blood of Jesus that was shed on the cross for you and me and because of that, we have the victory, even if we cannot yet see it.

So I want you to know that even in your valley of trouble, God always provide a door of hope. A life with Jesus is not promised to be free of trials, in fact He said that we will have troubles, but we can have hope because he has overcome the world (John 16:33). So what we do have in Jesus, in spite of the trials we may be facing is a promise of victory if we are willing to go through the valley.

“Yeah, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” (Psalm 23:4)

Whenever you are in a dark valley, you are not alone as Jesus is right there beside you as you walk through it. There is one way out and that is to go through it. But while you are in it, do not let fear and discouragement get hold of you, meditate on the Word of God and let His Word take root in your spirit. As you seek His Word and meditate on it, ask Jesus to reveal Himself to you right there where you are. No darkness can prevail in His presence. It has to come to an end.

“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.” (Psalm 23:5)

Jesus does not prepare for us victory in the absence of our trials and enemies but in the midst of them. No matter what that enemy is, whether cancer, depression, fear, doubts, addiction or hopelessness – He prepares a table in the presence of your enemy. See yourself at the table with Jesus celebrating Him in your midst and His goodness and mercy shall hunt you down.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life…” (Psalm 23:6)

May your trials become platforms of hope as you see Jesus with you in the presence of your enemies.
