Have you been asking God for a breakthrough but have not seen any evidence that He heard you? Maybe your circumstances have been so dark you struggle to see that your breakthrough is near. Does it feel like God forgot about you?

God did not forget you. He is patiently working behind the scenes, but what have you been doing in the meantime?

Have you lost your faith and trust in God while you have been waiting? Have you started looking for your breakthrough in other places? Have you started looking to people for your answers instead of God? Have you given up on your new season?

Don’t. It is coming. The appointed time for God’s next season for your life is coming. Nothing can stop God’s Word from being fulfilled.

In the Bible, Sarah knew how it felt to have an unfulfilled dream of having a baby and in her case, at the age of 90, it seemed even more impossible. However, God spoke the Word that in His appointed time the next year she will have a baby boy. And so it happened.

Is anything too hard or too wonderful for the Lord? At the appointed time, when the season … comes around, I will return to you and Sarah shall have borne a son. (Genesis 18:14 AMPC)

Can the odds be any more against you than that? Yet, nothing is too hard for the Lord. He can make anything possible but the catch lies in the wait. The question is not if God will come for you but when will He come through because He will, in His appointed time.

I would like to encourage you to not lose heart. Do not become discouraged when you have been waiting for God to answer a question or open a door for you and it does not seem to happen. Maybe you have been waiting for years for a dream to to be fulfilled but you are still waiting.

I want to remind you today that God knows about your frustrations and struggles. He knows that you have been waiting, but He knows best and that is His appointed time. Even when you do not understand the delay, know this: God’s time is perfect and He will bring your dream to fulfillment or the answer to your question at His appointed time.

Stand fast in His Word and it will prevail.
