About Jesus
About Jesus
If
you have ever asked yourself why you should accept Jesus as your
Saviour, you have asked the most important question and the answer to
that question leads you to the Person that is the answer to all your
questions.
Jesus
is the source of wisdom, healing, provision, holiness, and redemption
and every need we may ever have. In the Person of Jesus lies the
greatest love story ever written. Long before we ever knew Him, He knew
and loved us so much. While we were still sinners, God sent His only
Son, Jesus Christ to die for our sins (Romans 5:8). The mere fact that
we are walking on this earth today is as a result of His death. Through
His death we received life. Through His punishment, we received
redemption. Through His sacrifice, we received the gift of
righteousness. A gift we never deserved.
Our
Saving Grace lies in the great paradox of Jesus’ love. Death brought
Life. By losing something, we find freedom and victory. By giving up
something we gain everything we ever wanted. We give up the control over
our lives, we surrender all to God to allow Him to provide for us in
abundance in every area of our lives. A life filled with His presence.
Jesus
took all our sins, weakness, inequities and punishment on Himself on
the cross and in return He gave us His righteousness. When we come to
Jesus, we walk away with a lot more than what we came with (2
Corinthians 5:21). We walk away covered in His righteousness and glory.
Jesus is the only way to God the Father. Jesus is the bridge between our
sinful nature and God’s presence (John 14:6).
Nothing
we can do will make us lose our righteousness in Jesus Christ and
nothing we do can make us earn it, it is a gift from God that we can
only receive in accepting Jesus as our Saviour.
Ephesians
2:8-9 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this
not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one
can boast.” Our salvation is not deserved or earned by our own efforts;
it was all paid for by the selfless act of love by Jesus on the cross
for every one of us. To walk into the grace of God takes a step of faith
to trust God and to choose Jesus.
If
you would like to make Jesus the Lord and Saviour of your life and
enjoy the good plans He has for you, please pray the following prayer
with me: "Lord Jesus, I thank you for Your perfect work on the cross. I
accept You as my Lord and Saviour. I have been washed clean by Your
blood and can now stand in Your righteousness before God. Thank you for
Your perfect will for my life and I thank you that You will bring it to
pass. I cover myself with the blood of Jesus and meditate on His
presence in my life and I pray that the anointing of Your Holy Spirit
will overflow in my life every day. I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen."
